CD & DVD Compliance and Royalties

CD and DVD royalties - are you using video content? If so make sure your plant or company is paying the necessary royalties to avoid any issues later down the line!

All DVD products supplied by Media Plant satisfy the above compliance issues and have the relevant royalty payments included in the price, Royalties due to Philips are $0.046, Toshiba are $0.04 and MPEGLA are $0.019. This equates to 7p at today's exchange rates. All products manufactured or imported into the UK from any source must have these royalties charged.

We strongly advise you to get a written commitment from your supplier stating that all royalties from the above have been accounted for in the price quoted. If you establish where the disks are being manufactured you can look up on the relevant website of the patent holders to establish if they are registered manufacturers.
