A music anthology of epic proportions
One of our resident music specialists at Media Plant, recently worked on a behemoth of a music CD packaging project.
Working in conjunction with One Little Indian Records, they were tasked with coming up with something novel for recording artist Kathryn Williams.
Kathryn Williams was nominated for a Mercury music prize for the album Little Black Numbers. With a serious back catalogue on offer, the Kathryn Williams Anthology was born.
A little more detail on this project
With 20 CDs on offer (yes you read that right!), ten CDs comprising of Kathryn’s albums from 1999 – 2015, another ten CDs with bonus content for the collections.
Throw in a hardback lyric book with art by Kathryn, and a booklet, that’s a whole lot of content. Musically, and of course in written word terms.
With 1000 units made, 20,000 CDs replicated in total, hand-packed by us into the Anthology box packaging. This project was a real beast, but the end result is something stunning and representative of Kathryn’s body of work.
